Apologies again for the extended break… Now that I’ve finished summer school, I think my brain has just completely checked out: I don’t feel like writing OR reading. That may be the only downside to studying what you love: I love it while it’s happening but as soon as I get a break from all the braining, I simply can’t string words together coherently.

Because of that, I thought I’d share a piece of writing I did for my ‘Crime as a Narrative’ summer course. This was the last essay I did for the class and I freaked out the night before, rewrote the entire thing, and got an A+. Very much true to form.

It definitely showcases a different tone of mine… one I don’t use for anything other than academic essays. So, please don’t picture my voice (if you know me) while reading this, or else you might expect smart words to come out of my mouth and not simply from my keyboard.
